I recieved confirmation for my reservation which has been payed for in full. Two days after recieving this confirmation, Otel.com 's fraud department emailed me requesting copies of my passport, bank card and bank statements as they need to verify my identity. I was shocked that a booking company was requesting such information. Sounded like a scam to me. So I ignored. The next day I receive an email that my reservation has been cancelled and my money should be refunded. 1- if they had any doubts about any fraudulent activity, shouldn't they have questioned it BEFORE charging my credit card?
2- it's now been 4 days and I can't see any refunds in my account. I'm due to travel end of this week and I don't know what to do? This has just been a nightmare situation especially because we are on a budget. I had booked 1 room for my family direct - this is fine and they are confirmed. The other room which was through otel.com is now cancelled because I didn't supply my entire identity to them.
Please help. I just can't afford to pay for something and not receiving it. Please help!!!
