I booked a hotel in Vancouver through Otel.com, paid in full and received a booking confirmation. More than a week later and Otel emailed to advise that the room price was actually incorrect, and wanted me to pay the difference which was an extra $300!! The advice came from a 'no-reply' email so I could not even respond to them. Not only that, they provided no details on how to finalise the bill, presuming we did want to go ahead with it.
I have not heard of this happening before and would think that a business should be accountable for their errors.in every other industry, pricing errors are not pushed onto the customer.
I have sent them an email but have not heard a response.
Avoid Otel at all costs.
