I am retired and started to travel across America and join Choice Hotels program. Upon my second stay I pulled off hwy in Gallup New Mexico in Nov only to find out that Comfort Inn Sts had more restrictions on pet policy that was not listed on line. I had to really push the clerk to recomend a inn that took pets! Finally she called the Sleep Inn (which is a Choice Hotel Group also) and was sent next door. I checked in and presented my Choice Hotel card. After 10 min s I returned to desk and gave them the keys back (the rm was dirty, worned out, smelled, etc) I told the desk clerk to cxl rm it was 2pm in the afternoon and walk to the La Quinta Inn also next door and checked In to a new upgraded rm. I checked my bank statement and found out I was Charged 90.00!! I thought this must of been some mistake. So called Sleep Inn. To find out no manger around and also called Choice hotels. After no response from either I called Sleep Inn again and was told by a desk clerk the the manager is keeping my money. I voice a complaint with Choice (since they are the one who sent me their) after over a week, Choice says that the hotel is not responding figures) I cannot believe this company reaction! I consider this fruad on Credit Card! Chioice Hotels is not willing to help at all. Gave me the run around and I asked to speak with a manager not available. Would you trust these people? Or stayed and be RIPOFF! Dan from Michigan
