Newport Marketing LLC
Total Scam! Bait and Switch

On Sept I found the website: http://hotmiamivacation., which gave me a choice of 3 different resorts to choose from. I booked a 4 day, 3 night stay @ the Deauville hotel, through this company.

On Nov. 23rd, we arrived at the Deauville, only to be told there was no reservation and that we had to go 100 blocks north, to the Newport Resort. The mgr at Deauville also told us that they had not been affiliated with Newport in at least 7 months.

We went to the Newport because we had no place else to go. After speaking to MANY managers, we were told that they (Newport) would try to get us a reservation at the Deauville for the rest of the weekend, but we had to stay the night and participate in the time share presentation (which we already knew about) the next morning. We agreed.

In the morning, they told us they were able to get our reservation for the Deauville but we had to the do presentation first. They also told us if we don't end up signing up for whatever they were selling; they would still give us some incentives, just for coming, which included: a boat tour, a breakfast credit, a spa credit, and a dinner credit for our inconvenience. We agreed and sat through the presentation which ended up being for a timeshare AND a vacation club. Once it was over, we declined their products and were NOT given any of the aforementioned incentives.

Instead, upon checkout, we were subjected to unexpected resort fees, that should have been waived, since that was NOT where we originally booked. We then went to the Deauville, where they managed to secure us a reservation. We found it ironic they were even able to get us a reservation at the Deauville since we were told by BOTH resorts that they are no longer affiliated with each other.

Newport marketing is a total scam! They have a website that offers great deals on stays at their resort, in exchange for people to come to their timeshare presentation. The website gives a choice of 3 resorts to choose from. What they really do is book EVERYONE at the Newport, so you actually DONT have a choice. They also subject you to a timeshare AND vacation club presentation, which in total, is a LOT longer than the 90 minutes they promise. All they do is tell lie after lie, with no type of consistency. The 24 hours we spent with them, we never saw the same manager twice.

Stay far far far far away from them!
