Verizon Wireless is a fraud. I bought a Blackberry in January and it broke on May! The customer rep said "we don't fix phones". I explained that Verizon is responsible for fixing phones because of the expense and they have a one year warranty. The rep said "you have to buy insurance on the phone". When I wrote the CEO explaining that you do not have to buy insurance on a phone any more than you have to buy insurance on a loaf of bread that one purchases at the store, a rep called and said "you have to have insurance on it". Verizon Wireless refused to fix my phone or pay the FED EX fee to mail it to RIM to have it fixed. I have never had a CEO refuse to do any thing for me before.
In addition, this is fraud because, even if you have to buy insurance when you purchase the phone, the phone is brand new unless Verizon is merchandising used phones. You should not have to buy insurance when the phone is brand new. This is deceit and a rip off by Verizon.
Another abomination by Verizon is that the phone will not even come on anymore! I can't even use the phone to set an alarm or tell the time.
Harm that has resulted: I find I have purchased a Blackberry for $150 that became worthless in only 4 months! And the merchant will not fix the phone, refund my money nor provide me with another Blackberry.
I paid all that money and now I cannot call overseas and cannot take photos as the phone is worthless! What a fraud!
