I bought my magic jack from the local Wal-mart. I bought it because I need a home phone and I seen all those

Commercials raving how much you save, free long distance. What they don't tell you is you can't pick your own phone number and the "free" numbers they have to choose from I couldn't find one out of the 1,000's available for me to choose from. They said " number is already being used "

So I paid an extra $10 dollars for a phone number that was on the other side of the country from me! I live in Washington state and my phone number was a Florida number. So it was long distance for anyone to call me unless of course you live in Florida.

The sound was horrible on my end the person I was talking with cut out. Took forever to ring before they answered. The people on the other end of the line could not hear me most said it sounded like I was in a tunnel or something. So I decide to take it back to wal-mart from there I got the 39.95 I paid back but before I took it back I contacted Magic Jack customer service and everyone is right they are all but impossible to reach and when you do reach them its like they don't have time to pay attention to the questions you have for them. I got one guy who told me I could get my $10 back if I had wal-mart call them and tell them the magic jack had been deactivated. So I tell this to the clerk at wal-mart she gets a manager from electronics who says he never heard that before so we look for a number to call and there is none on the box or inside the paperwork that comes with it. I come back home get customer service again. The lady I get help from seems like she didn't even speak english as a first language because I had to repeat my question several times before she understood me. But then she gives a ridiculous answer that wasn't even the answer to the question of who do I call. I told her I returned my magic jack and I wanted to know who I needed to call to get a refund for the money I spent getting a phone number that was basically useless to me. She said they don't give refunds and I told her the guy I talked with earlier said I could but I needed to call. 10 minutes goes by before I receive a reply which says that the information I received earlier was wrong.

Money back my a%. So now I have a number I no longer need to a magic jack I returned. And no owner, manager nothing nobody to call or e-mail about this problem.
