I had been a customer of Vonage since 2004 and called to cancel my account as the charges had gone from $9.99 a month to $23 a month without any notice. I also discovered Skype could offer better service at a much reduced price. The customer service person offered to reduce my rate again which was great, but told them I still was not interested. I had to request 5 times to have my account canceled and the person then tried to essentially tell me I was stupid for switching since it isn't a real service. It is also very frustrating since the call center is based on India and they have difficulty understanding what they are being told. They also would not refund my month fees unless I called a different number and started all over again. Really huge pain... Beware.
