Sprint PCS - "Fair and Flexible" Plan
Customer cheating

I recently moved to Alaska (August 07) and my cellphone started roaming. I immediately contacted Sprint to make sure that I was covered under my "Fair and Flexible" plan. The gentleman told me not to worry, but that free nights and weekends do not apply while roaming. STRIKE 1!

I shrugged it off; I have a sizable plan and use my home phone more for personal use than my cell phone. My contract is up March 26 (the billing cycle ends on the 6th and my bill posts on the 12th...?! Weird considering my 2 year contract ends the 26th) so I should be able to survive 7 short months.

Two months go by and all of a sudden my phone stops working. STRIKE 2!! I call the Sprint customer service line listed on the website (*2 does not work while roaming). After a long winded conversation my charges were dropped and service was restored.

It is now March 11 and I have now contacted Sprint 3 times in the past 5 days. My service was suspended; my total charges to date are $0.00. The first two customer service representatives told me it was an unknown fault, "a glitch in the system" and restored my service only to suspend it again after checking my voice mail. That's right, they suspended my service, twice in a row (after telling me THEY were at fault) for making one phone call... To myself. Today the kind woman explained to me that I was being charged $228.74 for roaming charges incurred as far back as January. Sound "Fair and Flexible" to you? Yet 30 minutes later she couldn't give me a definitive answer as to why I am being charged $. 69/min for roaming.instead she told me to call back tomorrow when my bill posts.

I'll post a follow up if and when this problem resolves.
