Butternuts Season Ski Passes - Its a Bad Deal
Having skied Mohawk Mtn here in CT for years, my kids wanted to try a new ski area.
They went to the ski shop, collected a stack of brochures and read each one.
After several family meetings, the kids said they wanted to try Skibutternut in Great Barrington, Ma. We picked a Sunday in early March and had a fun day.
The Butternut ski staff there was out in force talking to everyone pitching to purchase a 2012 season pass and ski free the rest of this season.
My wife who usually shuns these type of sales pitches, was enticed by the generous Butternut promotion, buy now, and ski free until their April close.
Butternut showed us charts how they opened for skiing in early November and closed in late April.
