On July 3rd we rented 3 Specialized Premium bikes for 4 days for a total cost of $350.00. We were happy to pay the rental fee as we are avid bikers and appreciate the nicer road fleet they have for rent.
Upon returning the bikes my girlfriend droped her bike on its side in the parking lot. The shift lever on the right side of the handle bar rotated as its supposed to do and we walked the bikes in.
Even though the shifters preformed perfictly, the service tech that checked the bikes in said that the shifters are not designed to take any sort of impact and he was going to have to replace both sets of Shimano 105 shifters as they are probably damaged on the inside for a total of $250.00. He said that we were lucky he wasnt going to charge us for replacing the bar tape as well as he would have to rewrap the bars to replace the shifters.
Every other bike store I have been in including those in Naples told me we were seriously ripped off by Naples Cyclery.
I travel to Naples often and will never rent from Naples Cyclery agian and I would highly recomend that anyone who is considering renting or doing business with this company shop elsewhere.
