I responded to a TV solicitation for coins, four gold plated Presidential dollar coins, with wood display cases for these and future coins in this series. I ordered 2 sets for 2008 Xmas presents in July. The coins were received within a month, but NO cases.
Repeated additional solicitations were received to sign up for more coins, which were all refused. These coins were intended to be presents to get the gift receivers started in coin collecting.
It appears to me, since the additional solictations were declined the Franklin Mint figured they couldn't sell me any more coins and thus kept delaying the shipment of the display cases, with intentions of NEVER following thru, since no additional purchases were made!
The terms of the original sale only required the purchase of the 4 coin set. The company appears to be refusing to follow thru with the original offer. Since the order was made in July I felt comfortable that I would receive the cases by Xmas. I did NOT receive the cases thus requiring to make last minute purchases for alternate gifts.
It is the end of Feb AND STILL NO CASES!!!
