I had the unfortunate opportunity of working for this company and witnessed more illegal activities then I have ever seen at any company I have known in over 20 years.
First on the legal but unethical side they have a ton of price list depending on "What you can get" out of any potential or existing customer.
If your a national customer OMG you are being so scammed! You pay over double then anyone who lives in Texas or you may even be in Texas and if the owners (Crooks) can get it, they will charge you the double national rates (i.E. Any full color ad on slick paper)!!!
Just ask for a regional advertising price list, such as National, Almanac or North South and Combo rates.
They also are a revolving door of employees due to non stop sexual advances by the owners and staff. Even the writers who work for the magazine despise them but they get paid well so nothings said.
They also fake the cover photo's for the magazine with fish or game caught or shot in bins, or ponds not the big ocean or lakes they show.
Bottom line if your an advertisor. Ask for the correct pricing not the double national rates it will save you thousands a month!
If your thinking of working there please run. It the most micro-managed sexually charged place you will ever hate to work for. Just plain creepy.
