Ripoff Nike acts irresponsible and disregard to it's customer One Bowerman Drive JM-1

This is a warning to anyone interested in Nike Track and Field Sprint Spikes, please read further before you purchase.

I run Track for eight years, within this period I run hurdle for six years. But a little spikes defect caused me to lose my future.

After I used the Nike spikes for two months, because of the zipper problem, it made me to fell on the track and broke my left hand little finger.

It happened when I was having a hurdle practice, when I was starting to take off, the zipper pop down and it caused me to lose my forefoot support and it affected my take off angle greatly. Afterward, I hit a hurdle and fell on the track. I was sliding on the track for a couple of meters and I have abrasions on my face, knees and shoulder.

Therefore, I started to sent my first e-mail to Nike, to ask whether it is normal to have the zipper on the spikes to pop - down when I was running, and Nikes staff replied me through the e - mail that it is abnormal to have this to happen and he allowed me to return it to the store that I purchased it, or return it back to the factory.

The next couple of dates, I ask Nike for claim of my injuries through the e-mail, and Nike request me to send my spikes to the factory and I did it. Nike did investigation on it, and the staff kept asking me for the amount of payment that I had spent on medications, and I did reply them elaborately, one by one with the amount, but a few dates later the Nike Staff suddenly told me that Nike would not compensate anything to me and told me that the zipper is for cosmetic purpose and the zipper had no weight bearing function and it would not cause me to lose my forefoot support. Moreover, Nike denied accepting my return or refund, and mailed my old and unsatisfied spikes back to me.

Later, I sent e - mail again to ask the same question - Is it normal to have my spikes pop - down during and after running? At that time I was hoping another staff to give me a better response, but none of them reply me anymore.

Then, I report to BBB (Better Business Bureau), and they worked on it for about a month and closed my file without informing me before they closed it. Within that time period, I did not feel BBB was standing on my side to help me and BBB kept defending on Nike. But Nike agreed to refund the cost of the spikes to me, but rejected to compensate on the cost of the medications.
But my spikes really pop-down when I was running, and I still remember that on the phone the Nikes staff said that no matter you did zip or you did not zip your zipper, it would not affect your weight bearing.in my mind, I knew that it is a feeling that how tight your feet feel. Therefore, that is the reason that caused me fell on the track - a sudden lost of tight feeling from my spikes.

And I also think that based on what the Nike staff mentioned, it amply reveal that it is normal to have the zipper to keep it unzip to run! So why did Nike put a zipper in the spikes? And he also said that there have a lot of athlete did not zip their zipper while they are running, which I think is ridiculous, because I did not see any athlete kept unzip while they were having practice and competition.

Therefore, I have a conclusion that Nike is an extremely irresponsible sport utility company!
