On October 16th, I was invited to a Halloween costume party for the following weekend on October 23rd. I got onto the internet looking for costumes. I ordered a costume from Costumes Inc. With the $20 Next Day UPS mailing option. They had an option for a $10 "handling fee" for same day (as ordering) processing with same day out mailing, which I decided would not be necessary as they would receive the order on Monday and be sending it out Tuesday. On the order form, I stressed the point that I needed the costume by October 22nd.
The party on October 23rd came and went... No sign of the costume. I emailed the company and told them they could stick the order and I that appreciated their wonderful, competent business practices. I emailed this on October 24th.
Alas, on October 30th, 15 DAYS LATER, what arrives on my doorstep but this costume with invoice enclosed stating it was shipped Next Day Air and charged me that extra $20. They even dated the invoice the 28th, so that they could wait for the last minute and get their tired $20.
However, I have in my possession the original invoice for the October 16th order DATED October 16th. Therefore, because of this being a point of the matter and not particularily a war over $20 and a poorly made, cheap costume that I was grossly overcharged for, I intend to pursue this to the fullest extent that I can. I have entered a dispute with my credit card company and will NEVER pay for this junky fabric called a costume and the $20 to send it to me 15 days too late.
I emailed this joke of a business the day I recieved the package and left my phone number but, of course, like all scam artists they just ain't got the balls to stand up to those they did wrong. They continue to hide out...
Our president isn't the cause of our crap economy, it's companies like this that cannot run a true business to save their life. As a consquence, they are preceding to be slammed legally and reputably over this.
I am a housewife with not a thing to do in this world but stomp, stomp, stomp on those who try to stomp me first. I shall have grand fun driving these people batty, if not out of business.
Wish me luck, folks.
