I am filing a claim against paypal. Currently, there is over $800 sitting in my son's account Paypal for items I sold. I was aware of my son changing payment to his name on my ebay account.
However my son has been missing in Britisch Columbia, Canda since July 5th and the search by the Search and Rescue and Royal Mountain Canadian Police has been suspended as of July 20th. It went for six days. I have been informing paypal of this since Sept. 14th. The Ohio Lorain County Probate Court appointed me, (his father), guardin indefintely as of Aug. 17th.
I have sent the Letter of Guardiship to them 6 times per there directions and still have to fax to there Escalations Department division.
While the Customer Servie Representaitve in some instances tries to help, they should tell you what you need to do, which no one ever did unitl finally I got a Supervisor that escalted after calling over 20 times and being given empty promises.
This is very difficult to deal with emotinally, PAYPAL could care less. You get different answers from diferent people, I am only asking for my own funds. They send you automatically generated emails that have been wrong, and they never did tell me the correct way for the situation at hand. If they do not know, is that what supervisors are supposed to be for?
I must point out Paypal finally provided abuot $100 of items I sold after my son went missing.
Ebay lets you change paypal account with just ebay login, however reverse and they make you jump through many hoops and hassle you every step of the way in my opinion.
It was almost impossible to contact the escalations division. Finally I got a phone call from them after investing at least 15-20 hours on this.
After I provided the court documents, the juge had included a statement that funds being held in name of my son shall not be released without a court order.
The last thing I wanted to is get my Laywer involved with this, we have required him to do to much work already in my opinon. We have provied the court order and they are now complaining the judge did not sign the court order.
So I am going back to my lawyer asking for that.
Question, is paypal a finanail Institution?
Customer service is terrible, worst I have ever seen. I realize this a delicate siutaton however not once did Paypla call to tell me we on this issue, untl the esclations divsions got involved
As stated, I emailed, mailed, scanned and still had to fax documents they are the worst and I will never do business with them ever again.
