Ups wont pay on damaged merchandise

On sept 10th i shipped a package that was wrapped in foam and double boxed for the contents were fine china, i have shipped 100's of packages before with ups and never had a problem most likely because it is very well packed, my customer recieved the package 4 days later and informed me everything on the bottom of package was smashed and was very upset, i refunded her money for items and shipping and told her that i would contact ups.

Here is where the run around and nightmare begins, i called ups they said they would send out someone to inspect the package, after 2 days i recieved a call from ups and they said they were not going to pay the claim that they said the damage did not occur while in transit! I was shocked do they think i would package up broken smashed china and send it to my customer?
I then talked to the local ups manager and told him how this was handled he called someone i imagine much higher up than him and told them i have never filed a claim before, ups response was we will call him meaning me the next day well that day passed not a word from ups.

The next day i was at ups again with my daily shipments and the manager asked how the phone call went? My reply was ups never called i could see the managers frustration as i ship there daily in fact over 15,000 i have spent on shipping at ups this year! The manager was on the phone again and explained it all over again the manager invited me in his office and was standing there while he was talking to corporate office and i heard every word he told them i have never filed a claim before and i ship there daily!
The next day i recieved a call from ups and they stood there ground saying they couldnt understand why i was disputing the claim and i almost lost it! I explained once again over the last 10 years i have never filed a claim and i will admit i might of raised my voice! It finally must have got someones attention the person on the phone listened to the facts and said he was overturning ups decision and gave me a number and said use this on the email im sending you to settle this! Guess what no email no phone call and still nothing, my advice is this dont expect ups to pay any claim and expect the biggest run around you will ever experience, i hope fedex opens a hub here, ups you lost a customer that spent over 15,000 each year for over the last 10 years!!
