One of the titanium hinges broke on my expensive custom Oliver People's frames and I contacted Frame Fixers to get them fixed since they were experienced with titanium welding. This was in February.
After a week I started calling to get an update on my glasses and the same guy (Cornell Fredericks) always answered. He is an older sounding, slow talking guy that seems to be old fashioned. First they were backed up so he promised to call me back to let me know, then the story was that the glasses had not come back from their repair shop, then the story was that they didn't have my shipping address, then he said that they accidentally shipped them to someone else but they didn't know to whom. During my last conversation I asked that he pay me the insurance settlement (I insured my USPS package for $600 and he claims he did the same).
This went on for months with usually no one answering and when I did get Cornell on the phone he promised to return my call with updates, but only on a handful of occasions he called back. I was always very courteous on the phone since I figured getting testy was not going to help my cause.
For the past month I have not been able to get Cornell on the phone because he no longer answers the phone nor responds to my emails. So there go my $1000 frames...
The problem is that this company or whatever it is, has no physical address. The shipping address on the website is a UPS store. Anyone have additional info so that I call the police on them?
