I ordered Direct TV when the company was advertising a free DVR upgrade with each install. The salesman also told me I was getting the free DVR upgrade.
Well it turns out they didnt deliver the correct HD Receiver unit for DVR. Not ever having DVR, I didn't know this and was reluctant to call support when I could not get it to work.By the time I got around to asking them for help with my DVR they said I didnt get the upgrade and I will need to pay an additional $249.00 to receive my DVR.
Are you kidding me! Direct TV is still advertising the free DVR upgrade and because they made a mistake by not sending me the right unit I should now pay $249.00.
I will contact an Attorney and seek damages. The supervisor I talked to made it very clear that they would rather see me in court than give me a DVR unit. Im sure Im not the only one that this has happened to.
