Ebay offers almost no protection for small sellers offering either new or used merchandise. Case in point I sold a PC Motherboard I had bought brand new (Intel) from Amazon originally. This board was used flawlessly for over 4 months. When we shipped it to buyer in ORIGINAL Motherboard box (designed for shipping) and even put this box in ANOTHER box with packing to insure no damage. Buyer waited a week and filed a complaint that 'AS IS' USED item we sold him was not as described and dead on arrival. This buyer has a 66.0 % feedback rating, as opposed to our 100 % for over TEN years of buying and selling on EBAY! Ebay sided with this buyer even though it was 100 % working tested, PLUS by our reputation. After going through an agonizing 45 minutes of the indignity of a 'Robot Operator' I was able to get through to a 'Live' Ebay Rep. The first one didn't speak English very well and I suspect just hung up on me, even though I was calm and explained I needed help with this issue.
