Cort Randell started out as an engineer with General Electric and ITT when he graduated from the University of Virginia with an engineering degree. He worked on the Seawolf nuclear submarine and the Ballistic Missile Early Warning Projects with GE and the Strategic Air Command (SAC) Worldwide Communications System at Offit Air Force Base at Omaha Nebraska with ITT. After several years as an engineer, he saved his money and began investing in new businesses.in he learned of a new business located in Orlando, Florida, that would use the Internet to assist modeling agencies in finding new talent, and provide an effective way for aspiring models to enter the industry. As a substantial investor, Mr. Randell initially had a role in the overall direction of the company, but as a resident of Virginia who was running another company, he did not have any role in the company's day to day operations.
