Articlearticle A Cook County judge has ordered the House of Brides to vacate its store at 15180 S. LaGrange Road in Orland Park by Sept. 1 because the business owes $232,428 in back rent.

Judge Maureen P. Feerick issued an order for possession to Inland Real Estate Corp. On Thursday. A court date has been scheduled for Aug. 30 to discuss attorney fees and any damages that HOB Holding Corp. Will owe. Lawyers at Thursdays hearing estimated the total amount due could surpass $400,000. Feerick was not receptive to pleas for an extension by House of Brides owners Dale and Eve Buziecki. The case began on March 1 when a joint action complaint was filed at the Cook County Courthouse in Bridgeview. At that time, House of Brides was $208,620 in arrears. A call to the House of Brides store in Orland Park on Friday was not returned.inland spokeswoman Nicole Spreck declined to speak about the court decision citing company policy. A company site plan for Ravinia Plaza has for weeks listed the House of Brides location as coming available.

Called corporate to file a complaint took my info said they would call me back and never did. Choose David's Bridal for better service. Replyvoklst7:30 am on Saturday, July 28At both Davids & HOB their 1st question to me was, "how many in your bridal party?"

When I answered, "3" meaning me, the bride plus 2 maids of honor, the clerks walked away and told the other clerks do not waste time with me as theres no money to be made with me. That was Davids in Orland and HOB in Oak Lawn.

I never even went into the Orland HOB due to that. I bought my Wedding dress at La Jolie Mode they never ever asked that dumb question and since my 2 step daughters will be my brides maids I'll work on that as we go. Those owners sound like the Sam McGuire thing all over again. Living beyond their means in what used to be a decent economy. They should have closed when they hit the $208K mark (why not 50K???) but they take from Peter to pay Paul. They have no loyal stick around employees because the minute you do not meet your sales goal you are fired. ReplyS R8:27 am on Saturday, July 28Can I send the judge some flowers? Finally they get what they gave out. They lost a huge sale with my daughter when we went in because we were dressed very casual. She had 6 bridesmaids, & my dress!

Don't judge a book by it's cover, idiots! Replychuck9:26 am on Saturday, July 28Agreed. Karma is a... Evdntuay you will get treated as you have treated others. Replychuck9:27 am on Saturday, July 28Sorry auto correct. Eventually I meant to sayReplyS R9:29 am on Saturday, July 28Lol Chuck! We knew, at least I knew what you meant ;DReplyMegan M James9:34 am on Saturday, July 28Never experienced good customer service at any of these franchise shops, HOB, Davids or Eva's Bridal. All of them are only in it for the money. Heaven forbid u need alterations either. They'll talk u into to spending the alteration fee, but wont give it back if u dont need it, and if u do, they do crappy work, especially if ur not the bride.

Lesson to future brides out there, only go to these stores if u want to see what a dress looks like in person. Once u find ur dream dress, go to a little family owned bridal shop! They can order anything just like the big shops. Most cases, will match or beat their price, and the best part... They are sincerely always just as excited as you about making your day prefect for you and everyone in your party. ReplyS R10:13 am on Saturday, July 28There's a boutique on 87th St east of Harlem. Can't think of the name but thy took care of my daughter, me, & the girls and did all alterations cheap. The work was incredible and brides dress was $400 less then HOB & Davids! Replycynthia malik10:26 am on Saturday, July 28HOB also was caught for tax evasion last year. Guess what? Dale B, the owner, is in court fo non-compliance of the court order. Karma is a... He is finally getting caught for all the horrilbe things he did and is doing. Replycynthia malik10:28 am on Saturday, July 28You might also want to google "consumer complaints" on that company and its owners.

It is good read. Talk about BRIDES BEWARE. Replyfrank11:43 am on Saturday, July 28Something just hit me. To be that much behind, means you haven't paid rent for one year at $19,000 a month. Swift Justice? Common Sense? ReplyDonna Brazas-Reynolds11:58 am on Saturday, July 28Well, I think in order to evict commercially, there has to be at least four months of arrears. Then the time to contact the lawyer, get the plan together and filed, court date. If you'll read, the motion was first started March 1st. That's almost five full months ago. Carol12:01 pm on Saturday, July 28I, too, am not surprised. My daughters and I walked into HOB last year looking for dresses for her wedding party of 8 and my dress.

My daughter had bought hers at Davids in Kansas. No one offered to help at the front desk and they were young gals sitting on the phones. One pointed us in the direction of the dresses. We looked by ourselves through the selection which were poor, no one offered to help us in the fitting rooms and we had to run back and forth ourselves for other dresses. We walked out and no one even acknowledged us. Terrible customer service and another large sale they missed. We went down the street to David's who took care of us immediately and attended to our needs. However, if you needed to return a dress, they would not allow returns and they were charging over $300. For alterations.

The girls went online and found discounted dresses at David's and purchased them and our own seamstress charged us $100. For all. ReplyPaige McLaughlin12:31 pm on Saturday, July 28How dare them! They were ordered to donate to the glass slipper project and apparently they "forgot" this year! The owners need to be behind bars, it is very apparent that they do not follow judges orders!
