I received a quote for 6hrs totaling 599.00. I though this seemed very reasonable. I didnt have very many items and I was packing everything myself and moving the smaller boxes before the company was to arrive. My quote had a total of 30items in it. Mostly big its such as bed, dresser, table etc. The movers were to arrive between 8-10 and arrive around 930. They started moving and got living room furniture and 1 bed plus a few boxes in the truck. They came in a said not everything was going to fit and they needed to make a trip to the new location. They knew the items I was going to have previously an should have brought a truck big enough for the whole movement to be shipped at one time. Hawaii traffic is awful. On top of making this trip they did not explain that driving time = double hours. Meaning I it takes 1/2hr to drive they charge an hour. My estimate said a total of 1hr double driving time. To Load and unload the little amount they did for the first trip already took 3hrs. I called the company right then to discuss my concern. I could not reach anyone they kept transferring me back and forth. Finally I called LJ (I booked the move with him) to discuss this issue. He said he would call the driver and call me back in 15min. I never received a call back. They charged me a total of 9hrs for this move that is after I addressed my concern and made the mover call his supervisor. I think they wanted to charge a 10 or 11hr move before calling his supervisor. I only had about 30 items. This should have easily been done in 6hrs. I even moved some of the stuff with our Suv while the movers where there because of them taking 2trips. They also stopped at burger king and ate without taking that time off the clock. My quote indicated 6hrs for a total of 599.00. LJ discussed with me that I more time was needed it was 125.00/hr. He did not explain that the 125.00 would be charged to the initial 6hrs quoted. So I was charged 125.00 for 9hrs. The way the estimate showed was that the first 6hrs would be a total of 599.00 and anything more would b 125.00/hr. This company is very misleading with awful customer service. I could have moved used in a much shorter amount of time and saved over 1000.00. We just wanted a simple load/unload because we just moved a year ago and didn't want to do it again. They made the moving experience worse and misleading. I am very dissatisfied with eveything about this company. Oh and not to mention towards the end of the move I get a text from LJ saying "almost done g." I assume he meant for it to go to one of the movers. But you can't call me back when you say you will and you send a unprofessional text to me towards the end. I am not impressed.
