Pharmacy Customer Service - prescription

We have used CVS for several years. We have encountered just a couple other pharmacy problems over the years via telephone and one other in person and for that one we called it in about a year back, calling the 800 number, off the receipt, with our complaint. Never heard back on it. We switched CVS locations about 6 months ago due to ongoing road construction for our older location.

We have encountered a few times now enough rudeness specifically by a couple of the pharmacist that we are probably going to change to the competition as enough is enough!

Recently: this past Saturday afternoon (9/24) my husband dropped off a prescription for me as it happens. It was for patches already prepackaged nothing to fill medicationally necessarily.

That said, the pharmacist a Steve Otis of the Mundelein Maple Avenue location in Mundelein, IL was there. My husband dropped off the script at the window and asked the pharmacist if he could possibly come back in about 15 minutes and pick it up. The pharmacist was very rude to him stating 'no way they were too backed up it would easily be at 30 minutes or more'. My husband stated wouldn't there possibly be some way he could just run his local errands and come back in 15 minutes as it was already a prepackaged script and he was right in the pharmacy location, not living close. The pharmacist very rudly said no - my husband said 'look I sincerely do not live close to this pharmacy and as my wife cannot drive presently it would really help me out and I would appreciate your help here very much'. He said no way - way too busy! (there were 2 cars in the entire store parking lot as well)

End result - sadly my husband did not take back the script from handing it to him to bring it to the competition, first off.

We went together - back to pick this up later that day - we pulled up at 6:35P.M. (we suspect the other pharmacist long gone) going again to the drive up. We rang the bell - inside we could see another pharmacist and one other worker - they saw us and the recorded voice came through 'someone would be with us shortly'. That was 6:35P.M. - ten minutes later - literally 10 minutes they (the pharmacist and a worker) were still inside talking and we were still waiting. They saw us again through the window sitting in the car. Finally 13 minutes of waiting the pharmacist then came to the window - no apologies for the wait - nothing and said how can I help you - my husband told him we were picking up the script - who it was for, looked for it and he said it wasn't ready yet. We said that's impossible we were there earlier in the afternoon - then hours ago and repeated our last name, telling him what it was. The guy found the script. No apologies again even for the debacle with this, not to speak of 13 minutes being seen through a window and waiting for him to open the window and help us! That's ridiculous in and of itself, even if they were jammed, which it didn't appear they were.

End result, we pay a fortune for medical scripts for the family to CVS yearly - have for years and the customer service has gotten worse and worse - the pharmacists have gotten so darn rude and no one - no one seems held accountable and/or caring enough to the customer there anymore. Customer service is definitely amiss more and more!

We believe we are finally done doing business there and it is sad as when they originally opened - the pharmacy department as a whole was fabulous - great customer service and very helpful pharmacists as well. Now it is as though we owe them their attempt at their living - we do not! And take offense, we believe, for the final time at the continued rudeness. We have even encountered this on the telphone over the past couple months when doing a person to person refill in getting a pharmacist who might have to pick the phone up to help the help! Ridiculous - CVS what is going on within?
