Monarch Grand Vacations
MGV, Pacific Monarch Resorts is a ripoff of the worst sort! They lied, cheated, and overcharged my mom and me at

My mom and I were conned into buying into this supposed "better than a timeshare" when we received a phone call from one of the MGV reps telling us we won a free trip and had a chance to win $100K and more trips.

At the 90-min introductory orientation we were told we could travel anywhere in the world, stay at the best hotels and bungalows, and would receive free help and support from their agents any time we needed.

They raced us through the contract and failed to mention that it is practically impossible to travel abroad, that we would have to book almost 9 months in advance with no guarantee, and would be staying at 1-bedroom tiny apartments if we got lucky, unless we upgraded, of course.

We attended 3 more orientations, trying to find out how to book our trips, but were always helped last, never received our Interval International member #s, and were told by the MGV reps that these #s were necessary to book anything abroad.
We met with the Director of Operations and she promised to open our case for cancellation, send us emails, and update us within 3 days. She never called, never emailed, and passed on our case to someone else.

My mom tried getting the member # from an Interval rep, got hung up on, and then she promised to send us the #s in an email, and never sent them. We only got our member #s 8 months after signing on with the company, which means we wasted 8 months trying to get help from this company and paying ridiculous amounts of money for services we literally could not use.
We then officially filed a cancellation and were told that because it wasn't done within the first 7 days, they unfortunately could not process it.

All of a sudden we started getting phone calls from random MGV reps offering extra plane tickets, and extra "free" services. When we asked for more details, no one ever called or emailed us back.

Stan Colbert, through whom we filed the cancellation and with whom we met twice in person to discuss the situation, stopped answering our calls and emails.

We filed a report with the BBB and the only thing they offered was a cancellation but not a refund of $2,500 that we already paid. They refused to send us statements, lied to the BBB and said they tried helping us, and said they're losing money on the cancellation.

Monarch Grand Vacations lie, cheat, make false promises they can't keep, avoid complaints, don't provide any kind of services, refuse to provide statements, and are probably one of the worst companies in the USA. DO NOT believe their lies! Save your time, money, and well-being and instead book your trips through normal travel agencies and with normal hotels.
We are planning on opening another complaint with the BBB and filing a Class Action Suit against this awful disgrace of a company.
