I refused to sign a two-year contract on 06/19/04, i told the sales person (joseph) that i did not want the cellular phone because everything that he told me was not true. I receivee a call from nextel on 06/21/04 from the store manager, he said i could purchase the phone with a one year contract. I was promised a one-year contract of $39.95 per month with 500 state to state anytime minutes, free nights and weekends, $50.00 rebate and $25.00 credit to my first bill. I recieved my first bill of $289.00.
I called nextel to find of why i was charged this amount. The explaination i was given was one month in advance charges, $70.00 activation fee $29.00 long distance charges. I was not told about an activation charge nor an advance payment. I was told by nextel that my services started on the 19 of june, but refused to sigh the agreement nor take the phone. I did not sign any agreement on the 19th of june. Went to the store manager to inquire. I was fraudulently entered into a contract on june 19 by one of nextel's employees. I was told that if i cancel the contract that i will have to pay $200. Oo per phone for early termination of an agreement. Can you help me please, i was totally mislead and lied to by nextell's employees. How can i cancel the contract?
