Globe Van lines first of all completely underestimated the cost of my move and low-balled me to get me to use their company. A detailed description of the items were given and on the day of the move they ended up charging me almost 1000$ more than the estimate.
Their drivers arrive, obviously used to dealing with customers that are outraged at the increased cost, and simply wait in the truck until it is settled with the company (and of course you are desperate to move so what are you going to do?).
I was moving from California to Florida and the drivers that arrived in Florida were quite "out of it" and when "Rashan" was called (the person who deals with the complaints at Globe), he was patronizing and aweful. The movers completely failed to deliver my bike and much of my furniture was wet or broken. Now "Rashan" won't return my calls for a claims form and I am in limbo. I have never written anything like this but this company has to be stopped!!!
Please whatever you do - choose another company. I don't know how these people sleep at night. I have called them every day for a week without one returned call. They are very nice at the beginning - and then once they have your stuff - become the most abhorent people to deal with.
I am now taking legal action and recording and documenting every time I am ignored and all conversations in which I am demoralized. Roughly 2000$ worth of damage and 2500$ in moving costs. You do the math.
Beware and stay away from Globe!!!
