Salesperson was targeting elderly women in my mother's neighborhood, and unfortunately she signed. Salesperson was pushy and aggressive, stated he was regularly available and has not returned any phone calls since she signed. She doesn't like the service, terms of the agreement were buried in fine print, and now that she wants to cancel (48 hours later) they are going to charge her $420. Shameful.
My mother has a mild case of dementia and could not remember that 15 years prior she had a very unpleasant business interaction with Dish (after my father died, they would not let her out of the contract because his name was on the account and she was forced to submit an original copy of the death certificate!). I was told that in order for them to release my elderly mother from the current contract without fees they would need medical records confirming she was unable to make a decision and the date of diagnosis.
In case anyone else needs the number to speak with Executive Resolutions, it is 303-942-8600. They were wholly unhelpful.
