Received a contract without ever speaking to them. They then accused my referral person of forgery

I received a call on a sunday afteroon while visiting my Mom at hospital who had just sufferd a stroke 3 days earlier. I was told that they wanted me to talk to Lexington Law to help me with my credit.

I told the person that LL could not help me because a judge had pulled my drivers license due to an automobile accident due to to lack of auto insurance. The only recourse I had was to file bankruptcy.

I told the person that I was willing to talk to them but not that day.

Lexington Law tried to contact me that day after I had requested no contact that day, Sunday, while I was with Mom. LL proceeded to try to contact me anyay. I refused to answer phone when they called.

About two weeks later, I get a contract in the mail thanking me for being a client. I have not spoken to anyone at anytime from Lexington Law. I didn't understand why I received this letter.

Approximately a week later, I receive a phone call from Lexington Law. I told them that I could not use their services for the reason stated above.

They proceeded to tell me that I owed for that months services because my referral person had received a discount for referring me. I told her I never agreed to any services whatsoever.

She proceeded to tell me that my referral person was going to be charged with forgery for signing me up. I told her I thought they were a reputable company and that did not seem reputable to me. I suggested she call me at another time, since I had answered the phone while I was at work and could not afford to discuss any more details at that time.

I really don't think I will receive another call. I expect they will go after the person that referred them to me.

I will let you know what happens down the road.
