I worked for Lexington Herald Leader delivering newspapers back in 1999. After a couple weeks of gettin gup at 4AM, putting papers together and working 7 days a week, they stated that I owed them approximaely 15.00. I paid this amount to the gentleman who was supposed to be the Supervisor over the Hazard/Hyden/Knott County areas and said I am done with this!
Now it is July and they are trying to make me pay them $178.12 which I do NOT owe. WHY WOULD THEY WAIT FOR OVER NINE YEARS TO CONTACT ME IF I REALLY OWED THIS MONEY?
NEVER, EVER work for LEXINGTON HERALD LEADER they will rip you off!
I called attemting to get this straightened out to the agency they hired to sue me. This was Kentucky Accounts Service, the man on the telephone spoke to me like I was much less than human. He told me I wasnt much of a person and that he would collect this money regardless of what it took. This seems much like a threat to me.
I am an honest person who was trying to make a little money back in 1999 because both of my parents were termianlly ill and I was trying to take care of both of them.
Please, take my advise and never attempt to try and work for Lexington Herald Leader, if you do you will be sorry like I was and now still am.
