Two Men and a Truck
Manager: Tim Allen employed snail-paced, rude, harassing hourly workers

My wife and I had he most simple of moves: a 1 bedroom apartment to another 1 bedroom, 5 miles down the road. Hiring Two Men and a Truck was the choice we made because my wife had used them several times in the past and received good service, and I recently had spinal surgery and thus, cannot lift/carry anything. It turned out to be the most vile, unsavory, and unfair customer service/business experiences either she or I have experienced.

We were quoted over the phone around $250-275, which we figured would be fair considering we had no appliances, only 3 actually heavy pieces of furniture, and everything was boxed/sealed. We didn't even have a sofa to move! What we thought would be a piece of cake early morning move turned into a customer service debacle, let alone nightmare.

Long story short, we had what should have been a 2-3 hour move at the max, turn into almost 5 hours. It was clear we were taken advantage of. Because of my recent spinal surgery, I am unable to left/carry *anything* so they took their sweet time.in retrospect, I wish I had refused to sign the credit card slip at all. They were rude to us after I was told that my $25 tip which I attempted to give them despite the terrible service was "not enough". The guy said he would wait for my wife to come home to see if she would "actually tip him." I told him the honest truth that because they had taken so long for such a simple move, we didn't have the money to tip them really anything, but he was welcome to the $25 which was all the money I had in my wallet and my wife did not have anymore to give him either. He told me, "Forget it". The tip, which was all I could afford was refused, with his back to me, nonetheless. I apologized for the misunderstanding, bid them both a good day, and went back upstairs figuring they would leave after I paid.

Moments later, unbeknownst to me, my wife pulled up. The movers had not left and were waiting. Linwood, the main guy who I had primarily been dealing with, accosted my wife at her car asking for "his tip". He seriously frightened my wife, making her question her safety and call me. While I was on the phone, to not only make sure she was safe, but be a witness, I heard him say that he was "lied to" and that I "wouldn't give him no money".

She just rolled her window up and waited for the guy to walk away.

Unfortunately, this transpired when their office was closed. Like an idiot, I signed the credit card receipt. After leaving numerous different messages and the time span of almost two weeks went by, the manager, Tim Allen, finally returned my call. Like he was reading off a script-card, he apologized for our "misunderstanding"and said he would be able to refund us $95. I told him that amount was not sufficient. We were quoted that it would be $275, had terrible service, were verbally harassed, were overcharged by $200 (the final bill being $475), and had to wait two weeks to even be heard! I suppose he had another cue card for that one.

We finally got our corporate check for $95 almost 3 weeks late. I tried disputing the charges, to no avail. I wouldn't reccommend this company to my worst enemy.
