My HHG shipment was scheduled to be picked up on 21 July from Ogden, Utah by All United Van Lines. The driver nor the company notified me of a delay on pick up. After repeated attempts, the driver arrived for pick up on 25 July. My delivery date was set to "open" and was to be delivered to Mclean, Virginia.
On 5 October I received a phone call from the driver saying that there was a delay with my delivery due to mechanical failure of the truck however, he would be delivering my shipment the next day (6 Oct). At that time I was not in the local area to receive my shipment. I requested that the company would release my HHG to a friend at a storage unit. The manger of All United Van lines, "Kevin Litz", told me that was fine.
When the truck arrived for delivery, the storage unit area was too small for the truck. The company told me that they would charge me an additional $700 in order to rent a smaller truck to deliver my HHG.
