During my wedding preparation, I visited numerous florists to inquire about different services and prices. I was really happy with this florist and decided to book them for my wedding date. My husband and I made numerous visits to make payments, inquire about our orders, and basically to touch basis. About a week and a half prior to our wedding, we went in to schedule delivery and set up. They were to drop off my bouquet, mothers' flowers, and boutonieres at my home for pictures that we would be taking prior to the wedding. It was an hour after they were supposed to show and nobody had arrived. I called numerous times and after about the third call, they sent someone to deliver. I was a bit upset, but I figured that there is something that always goes wrong on a wedding day.
Upon my arrival to the church, I asked my wedding coordinator whether the flowers were set up inside. She told me that they had not arrived, and I had my sister call. The owner stated that her daughter was en route, but was stuck in traffic. We waited for the flowers to arrive and started 15 minutes late. The flowers arrived as I was about to walk down the isle. The young lady that delivered looked very familiar and stated that she got lost. She didn't even bother to apologize.
The week after my wedding, I was mentioning what had occurred to a coworker who was also getting her flowers from this same florist, and she told me that she had mentioned being late to the florist who smirked at this topic. She said it was due to the fact that her daughter and I didn't get along in high school. I could not believe I was hearing this!!! I knew I recognized her daughter, but never spoke to her in high school.
Needless to say, I contacted and visited the florist who showed how unprofessional she could be. She yelled at me and literally was about 5 inches from my face. She made comments about her daughter not being liked in High school. She also told me that if I wasn't happy with the services I should have returned the flowers immediately. Like there was nothing else to be done on MY WEDDING DAY! Before I left, she told me that if I wanted this problem solved, that I should have my husband come in to see her husband and that maybe they could handle things.
I contacted the Better Business Bureau, but nothing happened. This was a complete mess!!
