RSC also accused us of damaging a front end loader with a root rake while it was in our procession and is attempting to make a fraudulent 3rd party insurance claim to fix their previously damaged equipment. This piece of gear was delivered to our site in bad condition and was delayed in getting there because it had to come from a different branch in south Florida to begin with. During the first week the hydraulic system seemed weak and the steering seemed nonresponsive at times. Their service guy showed up and replaced a line but the unit continued to not respond 100% while turning. We were assured that the unit is fixed so we started using it.
We had an incident with the gear the very next time we used it where during a carry of a load the unit started to bounce a bit and started to lean to the right. Normally you turn into the lean to correct the lean but this unit did not respond and the unit continued to roll over on its side. The landing was gentle and the front rake basically held the unit off the ground. The equipment was not damaged in any way. To make this story short we called RSC to help us get it standing back on all fours and were impressed with their quick action but didnt expect what was about to happen. Their own mechanic said the unit was fine but a week later we were getting a bill for some crazy amount of money for some made up damages that did not occur on our site. The damages reported were all things we noticed when the piece was delivered the first day.
Bottom line is we did not damage this gear and it is obvious that RSC is attempting to rip us off to restore their assets and get a big claim for lost time on the gear. The sales team just sits back and collects their claim from the 3rd party insurer while not answering a single one of our questions about the unit. We heard from their own mechanic that the previous contractor who used the equipment was charged for some damaged parts as well. During this recession when RSC cant make money by providing good service, they would rather suck you in and look for ways to screw you every chance they get. I am all for a class action!!! RSC = Big Loss
