My mother (90 years old) lives in a retirement complex. On June 21 her phones had alot of static and noise making the phone unusable. She contacted the complex and the maintenance man checked the call box. He reported back to her that the issue was not with her phone line but with the outside line and she should contact Verizon. Since my mother is hard of hearing my brother called. Verizon said to notify Cordia since that was my mothers provider. He contacted Cordia. On July 29 a Verizon repair truck finally came - the maintenance man from the retirement complex met with the Verizon tech and it was determined the issue was with outside underground lines.
Cordia is now billing my mother $140.00 for the repair call. No one from Cordia (or Verizon) entered my mothers apartment - the issue was not with the inside lines. No one from Cordia (or Verizon) called to say the phones had been fixed. The outside line issue not only affected my mothers phone service but several other residence of the complex and well. When I called to dispute the call I was hung up on by Corida Customer Service - not once but twice. When I asked to speak to a supervisor I was told that was not possible.
This company is a rip-off... Be very careful if doing business with them.
