Purchased warranty 03-11, home ac worked, three months later, 06-11 made first call... Service replaced capasitor, 2 weeks later ac won't keep up with keeping house cool, placed another call, different service replaced 3 lbs of freon (?), 10 days later house still will not cool, placed another service call.
Was emailed a third different repair vendor, and received conflicting calls from two other vendors.orginal service vendor showed up, said outside coils needed replacing. Warranty company called, said coil effiecentcy degraded over time, they would not cover repair, in fact would not cover ANY part of AC system until we paid to have it fixed.
My point that it worked for 3 months, how to escalate, etc went unheaded. They just were not going to pay for any repairs, and I was left with no recourse.
Should have known better, but thought we'd be protected buying a used home.
Never again old republic.
