Do not, and I repeat do not rent from American Self Storage. They are slum lords. We have a storage unit on the outside and took away the dumpter, because they were too cheap to pay for it and told us to go around and dump the trash on the inside of the unit.
They are basically twice the price of other storage places, but they are the only storage in the area of Kihei Hawaii. So, they feel they can get away with it.
We had a payment plan in place, and they changed what we were doing and wanted more, which was two times as much, so they locked us out. They have a new manager why says she is very strict. If you owe $10 in late fees, they will lock you out, and brag to you about it. They will also say the new manager is very strict.
At one point they told us we could not park a car in the parking lot. The parking is for customers, but I guess employees don't mean anything. I told them that our employees need to park their car when they are working.
Don't rent from them, not ever.
