My exerience with Haldane is no different than all of those mentioned in these reports. However, I have decided to do something positive about it.
I contacted Haldane in Vancouver regarding the way Haldane misrepresent themselves to the general public and asked for a full refund. They offered a paltry 25%, for which they were politely told where to put it.
I called the Bwttwe Business Bureau. This was the first complaint they had recieved, but more were to follow. The BBB has limited powers and was unable to do more than ask Haldane to make a suitable offer of compensation. Haldane once again responded with a paltry 25% offer and refused to budge or change their way of working.
I then wrote to our local TV consumer affairs guru to put out an all points bulletin warning about Haldane. All he could do was advise me to contact the Alberta Government Services Consumer Services Branch.
These people have been brilliant in putting together a case on my behalf as the principal complaintant. They have discovered that even some basic working practices of Haldane constitute infringements on copywrite laws.
Our case is now pending Crown approval before we go to court. We need other people to come out of the woodwork and stand up against these charletains who have nothing to offer except their secret way of finding a new job.
The secret is now out. It is nothing other than your own leg work and network as much as possible. (I offer this advice for free and not $4200 that Haldane asks.)
I urge anyone, especially in the Alberta area to contact the Alberta Government Services Consumer Services Branch, and help build our case to put this sub terrainian pond life back where it belongs.
