On 2/7 a young man came to our door and asked us if we wanted to help at-risk-youth. We live in a middle-class area and are often hit with solicitors lately, but he seemed genuine and we felt bad for him, so we bought a book from him and paid him $25 dollars for it via check. He gave us an official looking reciept and thanked us. It has been almost 4 months (given the waiting period of 90-120 days) and we have not recieved anything.
The phone number is disconnected. The website is really bad.
Don't fall for this scam. THey get young kids to come to your door, often accompanied by adult. This young man was a teenager.
We don't buy anything from anyone door-to-door anymore.
