*Read This - It could save you hundreds of dollars* This company stinks. Chances are, what motivated you to join Great Expecations was the questionnaire you received in the mail. One of the questions (buried somewhere in the middle) concerned your income level. GE uses this information to qualify you as a sales lead and set your price!!! Knowing that many of us - especially men - think that members of the opposite sex are impressed with a high income, we tend to exaggerate this figure. DON'T DO IT! Always, always, always *under-declare* what you make. Your membership fee will be lower. Your income information won't even be made available to your potential dates.
Your first meeting with the sales person will be very high pressure. They will sell you on the program, you'll be excited to join, then hit you with an outrageous fee ($4,000 per year or higher). Realize that GE's overhead is extremely low - consisting of binders, copy machines and computer servers. They will make a profit from you no matter how low your fees are.
They will then tell you that the offer is good that day only, and if you come back later, they won't be able to offer it. B*llsh*t!!! Do you really think they're going to turn away money from anyone?
Here's the reality: Guys should be able to join for about $800 per year. (Younger women have an incredible amount of bargaining power with them and are usually charged less - a practice prohibited by law, but they do it anyway.) Offer them that amount. If they laugh in your face, walk away. They'll call you back to re-negotiate. Stand your ground until you get the price you want. Don't let them throw in "extras" to get you to pay their price - they're worthless any way. Hold out for your fee.
This technique worked for me. I even ended up meeting my beautiful wife through the service.
If you can't reach an agreement with them, join another service. There are plenty more out there that are just as good and cost less. Good luck.
