Roger Glick of Roger's Antique Collectables, Roger's Estate Sales, ABQ Antique Mall, Roger's Antique Mall located in Cottonwood Mall was vacating one of his huge storage locations and hired my company to move 50 loads of Huge Class Cabinets, Antiques, Furniture, Junk, Huge Heavy Items. Roger Represented to me that there would be 10 loads of items. It turned out to be 50 loads of items. I gave him a discounted rate that should have been $125.00/per hour discounted to $25.00/per hour per person. I sent two men who worked extremely hard. On three of the days, my men brought some additional help that they paid out of their own pockets. I also borrowed one of my Clients large moving van Box truck to move all of Roger's items so that Roger would not have to spend literally thousands of dollars in Ryder Truck fees. At the end of the Service, Roger Glick paid $300.00 of the $1,900.00 bill and said that he would pay me the rest later. After two months went by of waiting for his payment, I contacted him and he kept telling me that he was waiting for payment from other dealers so that he could pay me. I spoke to my other client who had loaned me his Box Truck and he said that Roger has been stiffing people all over town and good luck collecting from him. He also said that when he asked Roger why he hadn't paid anything, Roger told him that we had damaged the backing on one of the display cases. I asked my men if this had happened they they said Roger was driving the truck very irratically and did not strap his own display case in properly and damaged his own display case which he stapped in himself. When I went to his store, I he pointed out the display case that he was clearly using and it didn't even look damaged. Roger went on to tell me that he found a box with broken items. He did not know what was in the box, when it was placed there or even who had moved that box. Roger also had several others movers that he hired when we were unavailable. I notified Mr. Glick that I wanted proof of damage with photos, show me the actual items and to please file a complaint in writing. I removed $170.00 from his invoice because he said that the extra helpers that I sent on those super extra hard days didn't work and stood around. The supervisor stated that the extra helpers in fact worked super super hard and did not damage a single item. Our company moves $150,000.00 pianos as well as all different types of pianos without a single scratch. My men are trained to be extremely careful and move Pianos and other Antiques everyday without a single scratch. Nevertheless, I removed the fee for the extra helpers out of courtesy. It has now been 5 months. I have not received another payment, I have not received any proof of damage and Roger will not return my emails, my phone calls, and tries to avoid me when I go into his store. This man has taken advantage of my Services and I think its a terrible way to conduct business. I just want to be paid for the three weeks of super hard work moving of 50 loads of Roger Glick's items. He is clearly taking advantage.in this economy, we just can't afford to be ripped off! Tera
