T-Mobile "accidentally" charging for cancelled plan when no money is owed

I purchased 3 phones during a recent "free phones" promotion at one of T-Mobile's stores. After doing so I added up what I was really paying for those "free" phones. The additional fees and charges (none of which were disclosed in the advertising campaign) brought the cost to over $300. I took the phones back 2 days after I purchased them, well within the 14 day return period.

Nevertheless, T-Mobile sent me a bill for $175.00 and started sending me late notices and calling me to collect the money. A customer service rep told me that it was human error, however the only humans involved in the generation of this bill were the programmers that set the system up to bill customers that owe nothing. There is absolutely no downside for the company when doing this. They collect money they aren't owed and as long as they drop the charges if contacted, consumer agencies and regulators do nothing.

A small percentage of customers will pay these bills, despite the factthere is no money owed. It is pure profit for the company This is simply deliberate FRAUD on T-Mobile's part.
