TempRite, LLC is a franchise call center that contracts work out to anyone with a truck who claims to do heating and air conditioning. This company was called last summer to fix a report of no air coming out an air conditioning unit at an apartment building. When a young kid Matt showed up he claimed he was going into the basement to fix the unit.instead, he sat in his truck for 45 minutes texting on his cell phone. I got it all on video tape. He then claimed he was talking on the phone to his boss. He returned to the basement to photograph condensation on a section of duct work. As it turns out this company did a fly by night heating installation at the property. The heating unit was old, there was little to no duct work, which was also old, rusted and leaking. Flex hose was used in place of duct work, which is illegal past 5 feet. How they got this work passed by a local License & Inspection Inspector is beyond me. When I complained, the alleged owner/partner Tom shows upasking mehow does the unit work during the day, when I am at work. He claimed the reason the air was not working is because the windows were wide open. A lie. This guy is an incompetent a*. They do inferior work, taking shortcuts and billing for work not performed. That's an old trick contractors use, sit in the truck at the property for 1 hour before and after they leave., which they will bill you for. Temprite, LLC never completed the work, the ductwork was not insulated, nor was the flexhose removed or inspected for leaks. All the heating and air conditioning units they installed at the property was junk. Any contractor who puts their name on that kind of work, should not be in business and should be exposed. Service Magic's website will not letpublic customers leavenegative comment about a contractor. Consumers beware. If a website has all positive feedback for contractors, RUN.
