Metro Maintenance is a window cleaning company who service all over DFW, but do terrible work, pay incredibly low, and have no regard for their customers.
I worked for these jerks for 3 months and was the worst job in my life. A standard day would include the following: Going to the office to pick up 6 invoices (work orders) for peoples houses. You do not get to choose where you will do jobs that day, and they are often not very close together, you may start out in dallas, go to irving, then arlington. You also do not know how big these houses will be. You are expected to do complete all your houses that day, meaning the outside of 6 homes in less than 8 hours, regardless if the homeowner is there or not. You would get paid 20 per house, while they were charging 60 for the work. And you were supposed to get paid every week.
I would go out to these houses and get told that the customer had not ordered the work to be done, they cancelled the order, or it looks like no one even lives at the house. When you called the boss to tell them what was going on, he would say to do it anyway and if the customer refused, to go to the next house. I cannot tell you how many times i rolled up to a house that was over 8000 sq ft and expected to complete the outside in under an hour. It is not possible to do a good job on a giant sized house in that time. However Metro is not concerned with quality work, they want you to just do the job as quickly as possible and go to the next one. This would happen nearly every day. After I failed to complete 6 houses a day for about a week, Jim Campbell told me it was not working out and that i was basically done. I could not care less, i just wanted my money for the houses i completed and to wash my hands of this scam. He told me to pick up my money on friday and to turn in the checks i had collected from the houses the same day and I agreed. I went to get my money, with the checks in hand, and Jim started giving me the runaround about getting paid. He would tell me to come back later then stopped answering then told me to come in to get my money. I went to the office only for him to tell me that he wasn't going to pay me, and that i could try and sue him but it wouldn't work because i was independently contracted to work for him and he was under no obligation to pay me anything. I left not believing him until i called the Texas Workforce Commission, which confirmed everything he had said.
Stunned and pissed off for over a year, i just want Jim Campbell and metro maintenance to be put out of business and jailed if possible.
