It's about time naturallycurly is called out for it's actions. No one dares do a review on the terrible service of naturallycurly, though I can assure anyone who reads this that there are a PLETHORA of complaints.in fact, this website (which was once a nice place for naturally curly haired folks to support one and another) has CHANGED dramatically in the last couple of years. I placed an order for Darcy's Botanicals products as well as other products for their Grey Friday Sale. It has been WELL OVER three weeks now and I STILL have not received my order. They'll spam the hell out of you with their promotions but when I respond back inquiring about my order I NEVER get a response. At this point, I am worried that I will have to do a chargeback. I am also considering filing a report with the BBB on this horrible website. I understand that around this time businesses have a lot on them, but when I place an order for a product I expect to receive it in a REASONABLE time frame.
Their customer service is terrible, and their "support" forums are a joke. There are well over a thousand or so members on the 4a forum in particular but out of these women maybe 40 of them are a part of this "clique". This clique causes havoc on the boards, bascially bullying new members (or attacking them with gifs when they dont agree with what someone with less than 1000 posts has to say). There is NO moderation on these forums. So everything from libel and slander, to racial epithets (I have personally witnessed race wars on these boards!) and member bashing is done on this forum. It's just messy. High school drama. The MAJORITY of these women are paid advertisors (either paid in products to bash a competitor line or paid in products to taut one). The product reviews on the naturallycurly website for this reason, cannot be trusted... At ALL. I've purchased MANY products based on the reviews from Naturallycurly members only to find they have a youtube in which "a company sent them products for review". This is a BUSINESS for these women.
I am absolutely THROUGH with this website. Worst of all is that it's virtually impossible to get ALL of your information removed from their site. Unlike other reliable forums you can't simply unsubscribe from their site. They want you to email them personally and request the deletion of your account. You will NOT find out how to delete your account unless you look long and hard for it on the bottom of one of their web pages. It is NOWHERE to be seen anywhere else. I should be able to remove ALL of my information from a businesses website just as easily as I put it there! I know people who have stated that even AFTER they have asked the naturallycurly website owners to remove their information, images of themselves that they posted are still visible and are NOT removed at all. Do not be fooled. "Unsubscribing" from their site is NOT the same as removing your information from their site and deleting your account. They allow you to unsubscribe yourself and it is worded as if this is the same as deleting your account, but it's NOT. Do NOT put your information on this website.
This is a terrible website. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM OR BECOME A MEMBER! If I dont receive my products by Friday of next week I will be doing a chargeback.
I will be telling EVERYONE about my experience with them and I will never purchase from their website ever again!
