ABSOLUTE COMFORT Air conditioning RIP OFF!
On 6/15/10 my air conditioning technician was unavailable and I called Absolute Comfort Air Conditioning (16840 Clay Road, Houston, TX 77084) because the condensing unit outside was not coming on.
After waiting 2 hours for the technician I went to unload my car five blocks away in the same neighborhood.
My tenant let the technician in. And a few minutes later he called to inform me that the
Work has already been completed and all that it needed was a fuse.
I rushed back there to pay him. The technician Steve # 247, said that he usually does not do the work unless he gets the authorization to go ahead, but this time he did it without my authorization because he was in a hurry. He asked me to sign the invoice and to initial the authorization after the fact - the work was done without prior approval.
And to my big surprise, the invoice was an astronomical $ 335 for less than 10 minutes of work. Even doctors do not charge that much for 10 minutes of work. He did not add Freon, or changed partsnothing! All he did was add a fuse.
I asked him to give me the old part to see what he did. He said it was upstairs.
Absolute Comfort Air Conditioning & Heating is a RIP-OFF outfit!
Do Not Use Them! Stay away from them!
Use only technicians with referrals from satisfied customers and do not fall in the trap of calling from their advertising in the various homeowners' association newsletters which Absolute Comfort use to lure their preys.
I will never use Absolute Comfort A/C again for as long as I live!
