Home Buyers Warranty has denied my claim, even though I have a written contract with effective dates, stating that my claim was not within coverage period. When pressed for an answer on how I could possess a contract that differs for their records, they state that 'they only go by what the computer screen says' and that my written contract dates do not matter.
They have slid their effective dates by 4 calender days to void my contract... If a written contract is not valid, then I am claiming fraud. I am now out my warranty policy expense of $459,2 service call fees for $150 total, a repair that will cost in excess of $675 & about 6 hours of my time over a 3 day period on the phone trying to find a common ground. I was told my claim was approved, reviewed, denied, reviewed, accepted, reviewed and denied again.
HThe last denial was as my contractor called in for final aproval. If you would like to be frustrated, donate a $1,000 to a corrupt company & waste much of your own time, then I suggest that you call Home Buyers Warranty at 800-775-4736 and sign-up... They will gladly rip you off... It is what they live for and if you get Mariana at X 4637, then you can have her laugh and giggle while she hides on the other end of a phone!
