I was formally a Dish customer for 7 years. I received a promotion in the mail for Direct TV and thought I'd call because my bill was going up $5 a month. It was paramount for me to receive my distance channels if I were going to switch services, they guaranteed me that I would, the sales person consulted with her supervisor at least 2 times during our taped conversation. They also told me I would be receiving more channels, HD, on demand, (downloaded from my internet service, which they didn't tell me) for only $10. A month more than I paid with Dish, it seemed so good of an offer I decided put up the $470.20 for the receivers, boy what a mistake I made. I do NOT have my distance channels and my bill when promotions are done will double what I paid Dish. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, so I'm still hopeful, but let me say that Direct twists the truth, they need to take customer care classes because customer care starts with being honest and giving your customer what you told them they would get. My local channels come out of a different state than I live in, how can they call them local???
