I recently had a very bad experience trying to get Dish satellite TV. They were HORRIBLE to me, never showed up not once but TWICE to install. After much lost time I decided to try Direct TV. I told the rep how upset I was with Dish, he assured me all would be well with Direct TV. I than inquired as to whether or not my area had local channels. He assured me not once, but FOUR TIMES that it did. I signed up. I decided to double check the local channel availability, so I called again and spoke to a different rep. I was once again assured i would have local channels. THEN, a friend called me, said she had Direct TV with no local channels (same town). So I called back, turns out BOTH REPS LIED to me in order to get me to sign the 2 year contract. Liars. I really hate being lied to. Not only did they lie about channel availability, but they lied about the final price. I didn't find that out until I cancelled the service and was told about the refund I should expect. I still have no refund, we will see. Satellite tv companies are the worst for service. I am so angry, I have decided to live without TV.
