I was told that my bill would be $119 plus taxes. We have four phones, and I know your thinking well $119 for 4 phones is pretty good... Well that is what I thought too. But let me tell you our bill is actually 167.43. That is a pretty penny when all is said and done. Two of the phones are for my children who are 12 and 10 and I only wanted the phones for them to be able to get ahold of me in case of an emergency, they are the cheapest phones that they offer. My bill this month was $187. They said there is insurance on two of the phones for ($14.99), and of corse a late fee ($17) because I can't afford it, I signed up for the (119) plus tax which i figured would come out to like ($139) or something in that range. And I did not know that there would be an additional 14.99 on there for the insurance or I would not have agreed. $5.95 is for something that they say I down loaded, which I did not. I have a touch screen phone so the only thing I can figure is it happened in my pocket. They say I have to sign in on line to remove something that I never signed up for in the fist place.
I called over to customer service the first rep I didn't get the name of placed me on hold for 15 min and then hung up. The second rep said her name was Jenn, and her supervisors name was Jennifer Ramariz, she said she didn't have a badger number. She placed me on hold for 15 min and then hung up on me. The third rep said her name was Padma (id #KE569952) I was on the phone with her for 20 plus min asking to speak to the supervisor she refused to put me on the phone with one. The conversation was like can I get a payment for the bill, "can I speak with a supervisor" this literally went on for like 20 min. She finally sent me to her Lead escalator, (not the supervisor mind you) named Sabrina. She insisted on beating around the bush with me. She must have explained what "insurance" for the phone was like 10 plus times. I was like look I know what Insurance is, I have my college education, please stop treating me like a three year old, I just can't afford it. I was on the phone with her for a total of 37 plus minutes. At the end of it all she told me that there was nothing she could do for me more than an apology. An hour of my time wasted with complete nonsense. They do not care about the customer. There customer service is a joke. And their advertisement of low monthly service is a joke too. Plan on spending WAY MORE than what they advertise, because when all is said and done I'm ending up paying just as much as with any of the other phone companies who are ripping people off. A land line is $20, and you would be better off with that unless you plan on figuring in $200 a month for phone service, with the way today's economy is that is absolutely outrageous. That is almost as much as my electric bill, and anyone who lives in florida knows what a rip off that is. Once you figure in all electric, phone, water, rent. You better be making some good damn money!
To sum it up Sprint's customer service is one of the worst customer service I have ever come in contact with. They false advertise prices for their phones. Just tell me I will be paying $170 for 4 phones instead of trying to make it sound like $130. That way if I can't afford it I can just not sign up for it, and not waist anyones time. OVer all stay away for Sprint, if you want to save yourself a huge headache.
