BVL, a moving company broker, promised to use a reputable fully bonded national truck line for my recent move but refused to identify the carrier until I gave them a credit card for a $425 deposit on a total quote of $1200. Like a sucker I handed over the credit card info. They immediately emailed me a contract which did not identify the carrier and contained no information about the amount my property would be insured for. I contacted them repeatedly to request this information and received no response from the company for almost two weeks. With my moving date approaching and a total lack of contact from BVL, I emailed them an order to cancel their service and refund the $425 deposit. A few days later the company finally contacted me, at which point I had hired another carrier and had no intention of letting them or their contractor near my furniture. They have not refunded the $425 deposit, and instead sent the remainder of the $1200 quote to their collection agent.
In short, they lied about providing information on the carrier and insurance, ignored my contacts for two weeks, ignored my order to cancel their service, kept the $425 deposit, and sent the remainder of the $1200 to collections.
And they have never performed a single service for me.
Stay clear of these people - there is nothing more frustrating than dealing with a dishonest company.
